Gorgons have AR2 and 3 20 minute Paralysis Spellballs
Basics
Scaled and revolting, Gorgons are a dangerous foe for any adventurer. Snakes grow from their heads, and their hate filled eyes control dark magics. They are able to freeze opponents with a gaze, their most infamous ability. This ability and their reptilian nature brings some scholars to speculate that Gorgons are somehow related to the Basilisk. They appear to enjoy hot dry places, with deserts holding their greatest concentration.
Relations
It is fortunate that Gorgons do not reproduce quickly, because their natural abilities and fiendish intelligence could make for dangerous opponents to civilized nations. They have an ancient hate for other races, often attacking without provocation. Gorgons are rarely seen together, and it is possible that they do not cooperate well with each other. They often bully lesser monsters like goblins into doing their bidding, although they are sometimes found in the company of Skeletons or other undead.
Combat
The claws of the Gorgon are razor sharp, and they use them to good effect in combat. Some carry weapons and use them with great skill. They are able commanders as well, orchestrating ambushes that strike without warning. The greatest threat from a Gorgon is it’s petrifying gaze. Even the greatest warrior can be turned to stone, with the only cure being distilled from the Gorgon’s own blood.
