Some notes while I am thinking of them:

Bromous is the name of the Green Dragon that was previously killed. He had a cult of followers simply named the Cult of Bromous. The cult had a large treasure stash that included special enchanted gold. The treasure could be detected by magical rings that the Cultists all wore.

The cult of Bromous cursed the island after the death of the dragon. A few people discovered these curses.

The Explorers Guild ultimately found the Shrine to Bromous and retrieved the treasure. Unfortunately Mowgli and Tristan both gave their lives up in the effort. I believe Fenris is the one who ultimately figured out how to get past the chasm and gas traps. Arminius convinced the statue he was sent by the cultists to pick up their treasure. Which I suppose was partially true!

There was a T-rex. And giant ants, scorpions and bees. And a nasty acidic plant that I believe grew out of the dead body of Bromous (confirmation needed)
