Details regarding this ancient keep are lost in the sands of time; even the story of its reclaiming is shrouded in the haze which surrounds the early years of the current era. It is known that the Explorers and Mardur had a hand in reclaiming it; it is unknown, however, if they cooperated or were rivals during the process.
Elkstone keep stands near the center of Legion territory. It was long held as the personal holding of Baron Dameaion.
At the beginning of June 7 DY, when the Order of the Abbot dissolved, Elkstone was gifted back to Mardur, making it a volatile block in the tensions between Legion and Mardur.
