Mage Spells
Burning Hands
You, a spark so small and frail,
Draw in might without compare.
Smolder, smoke and turn alight,
Crackle, burn and soul ignite
You, a tiny fickle flame,
In my aura be sustained
With my breath, rise and grow.
In my palms, burning glow.
Heat and raze, scorch and burn.
Smoke and fire, bind your turn.
Crackle-flame, now burning bright
Blazing fire, magic might
Mana form and power raise
Hands bore out, and now a blaze
Born in fire, sun at noon
Dancing flame will spell their doom.
I {Caster} invoke burning hands!
Mage Bolt
Tall green tree and dirt below
Waves that crash and things that flow
Burnt wood crack and fire spout
Airy gust and thunder shout
Eye of newt and pinch of hair
Spit and blood and bone to spare
Spoil’d bean and grain of sand
Grow my pearl and eat my hand
In a ball that soon will burst
Breaking magic, bounded first
Caught inside my tiny ball
You will make them cry and fall
I, {Caster} invoke Mage Bolt.
Mending
All you’ve broken, shall be fixed.
Bent and fractured, mend and knit
Steel and Leather, Wood and Iron
Each shall bow before my power.
Repeat 4 more times
I, {Caster} invoke Mending
Comprehend Languages
Secrets written and stories told
Lore once fresh now grows old
Words are spoke, written down
wisdom lost and turned around
We forget our mother's tongue
Heads get muddied, full of dung
Meaning mixed and poems lost
Years and time have such great cost.
But in there letters, there's meaning still
Forget the words and talk we will
Words and letters, lost with age
Reveal your wisdom on this page.
I {Caster} invoke Comprehend Languages
Detect Traps
Cunning fall and hidden snare
spike lined pit and poisoned air
show yourself and call to me
let my steps be blunder free.
Repeat 3 more times
I invoke Detect Traps!
Lightning Bolt
Oh great North Wind, cold and strong,
Bearing Winter, old and long
Head you child’s beck and call
Answer now this thunderous song.
Oh great East wind, Mountain blown
Through the trees quake and moan
Heed your child’s Beck and call
Answer now this Thunderous song
Oh great South wind, Bold and warm
Tropic tempests, Surging storms
Heed your child’s Beck and Call
Answer now this thunderous song.
Oh great west wind, Who stirs the sea
Rouse your waves, Hear my pleas
Head your child’s beck and call
Answer now this thunderous song.
All you great winds, gathered round
Bring in darkness – thunder: sound
Summon Thunder, lightning crack
Rolling darkness, sky: turn black
Arching power, roaring clouds
Breaking thunder, make them bow!
I, {Caster} Invoke Lightning Bolt!
Dispel Magic
Counter twist and pull apart
Drafted mana spun with art,
A yarn of power, roving, willed
Of ill-intent is often pilled.
Magic forged and tempered spells
Quenched in hatred often fail.
Brittle power, Hard and sharp
Now you crack and fall apart.
Will dries up, and parched it bolts
Magic sheds, and crinkled, molts.
Fires smolder, cough and smoke
This enchantment shall be broke.
Repeat
I {Caster}, invoke Dispel Magic
Pouch
First, take breath and listen.
Ground and center true
Send your roots dark and deep
and bind them in like glue
These roots that hold and base me
Grow warm in her embrace
the molten core of star-death
still turning in it's place.
My root grows tall and upward
my base is strong and full
a core of power bidden
for magic is my tool
Dappled moon and starlight,
that basks and bathes my skin,
Your swirling power beckons,
with each breath I call you in.
Fiery sun, who breaks the day,
You hold us from the vast
We dance around your greatness
lend power to this task.
Ocean’s pull still moonward
In flowing ebbing waves
move my heart-blood further
And fill me with your grace.
Loamy rot and punk wood
In fugal darkness spread
Your eating roots consume us.
You’re nourishment in death.
Willful wind, and fleeting thought
In breath I draw you in
With blade and nock and sharpened rock
With spindle we’ll begin.
Mana, force and power
all words for aether's strings
the bonds of life between us
that attraction always brings
Those cords which run between us
Can twisted hold some weight
like as fabric tightly woven and
stitched into it's place.
To craft a spell is willful
To hold a twist so strong
For mana flows like water
and won't be held for long
So for this act of weaving,
We'll need a double ply
Grounding from our dark roots
and power from the sky.
Twisting down and moon-wise
Rooting power set
in soil with all the dead ones
Who's names we still forget.
Pulled taunt and spinning sun-ward
Drawing sweetness from the stars
The fiery pulse of sunlight
Still burning in our hearts
Twist and pull together
Each power hold and bay
All fibers being woven
Across each other stay.
With weight we warp each thread now
Plucked taunt each silver strand
Vibrations ring and wave now
Stay fabric wove by hand.
Between this runs a new weft
Of temperance, earth and will
In salt and soil and moss and oil
In darkness cold and still.
Enchanted be and stay complete
A pouch of perfect will.
I {caster} Invoke Pouch
