Very little is veritably known of these rare behemoths that terrorize the lands of DarGarth. Once thought to be Lesser Demons, research has shown that these monsters are a race to themselves, but could be possibly be tied to demons in some way. It has been mentioned in texts that ogres are tied to nether fruit.  These claims cannot be verified due to lack of evidence, and possibly the extinction of such fruits. These giant monsters are sometimes attested to be borne of souls whom have succumbed to fel influence. Erupting from the chest of the tainted and growing ferociously to full size instantaneously. No recent reports have suggested these claims, and it appears as though ogres may have evolved or always were organic creatures. Reproduction and lifestyles more akin to earthly creatures than demonic ones. The ancient texts may be mere myth.

Dark rugged skin shields the monster, and black horns curl behind their pointed ears and black mane. Frothing, gnashing maws host dozens of wicked teeth below their slitted nostrils and bright gold eyes. The brute strength and resilience to blows along with their giant size make ogres dangerous, but the pack mentality the race is vastly more threatening. Though they do not appear to possess sophisticated military intuition, nor tactical cunning, they posses a sheer violence and strength in numbers. They do not appear particularly vulnerable to magical or holy energies, which again hints at an organic origin rather than a demonic one. Encounters should absolutely be avoided.

Basics

Relations

Dark rugged skin shields the monster, and black horns curl behind their pointed ears and black mane. Frothing, gnashing maws host dozens of wicked teeth below their slitted nostrils and bright gold eyes. Their frame and size is physically akin to a troll, though the two giants appear to share no researchable similar lineage. Massive clawed hands often wield crude massive blunt weapons, such as massive bones or pillars. Reports circulate of ogres sighted wielding two-handed smithed weapons, such as war hammers and maces, with ease in one hand.

Combat

The brute strength and resilience to blows along with their giant size make ogres dangerous, but the pack mentality the race is vastly more threatening. Though they do not appear to possess sophisticated military intuition, nor tactical cunning, they posses a sheer violence and strength in numbers. They do not appear particularly vulnerable to magical or holy energies, which again hints at an organic origin rather than a demonic one. Encounters should absolutely be avoided.
