History

The presumed skull of an undead monstrosity that had plagued a small hamlet on the southern edge of the forest between the Explorers Guild and Mardur.

After the evil was finally laid to rest, the adventurers turned upon one another to claim the power radiating from the grisly artifact.

In the end, Vodin still stood, having organized a small alliance of mercenaries to stand against the might of Kendric Flamehands. After the defeat of the mage, Vodin turned on his allies, continuing the legacy of death surrounding the skull.

One year later, the skull was unexpectedly found within a spider relic after it was destroyed by the adventurers, despite the skull being in the possession of Vodin earlier that day.

Savalis eventually became the new owner, after striking down the individual who had snatched it from beneath Vodin (Vodin not knowing what he had, thinking the skull was safely stashed away within his possessions).

A little over a year later, in 4 DY, an invasion of the Damned capital took place. Many of the notables of Dargarth fought side by side to storm the unholy city. In the end the evil was vanquished, and upon the body of one of the Damned leaders, Kestrel found The Skull, witnessed by Jabari, though it was not recognized for what it was until later.

The skull has not been seen for quite some time, no doubt waiting for a time of violence to pick a new owner.
