The Dargarth Winter Games were last held in winter, at the beginning of 4 DY (4/23/14), after somewhat ironically being postponed because of inclement weather (a snow storm). There were four events: archery biathlon, two-person sword & shield, single blue tournament, and a five-person grand melee. Finally an award was presented to the competitor that was judged to have best honor.

Archery Biathlon

Competitors took up bows (or, in one oddball case a javelin) and ran a course consisting of four stations, and five targets in total. From the start line they had to navigated across a slippery field, stop thirty feet short of a given target, and fire. Upon hitting the target, they proceeded to the next target across the field at best time. The final station consisted of two targets, which began moving when fired upon. First to complete the course and reach the judge won.

Medalists

Gold: Kestrel of Legion
Silver: Adam of Erzoth
Bronze: Rasheab of Legion

Two-Member Sword & Shield

Two-person teams were assembled, each team having a single sword and a single shield between the two individuals. A free-for-all then commenced; last standing team were the victors. Fighters were allowed to claim replacement equipment from defeated opposing teams.

A small amount of scandal followed. Nearly half of the competing teams were composed or led by Legion members. While they did not directly work in concert with one another, they did fight against the opposition until only Legion teams remained, after which they dueled to the end. Further, some members interpreted the scavenge rules as meaning they could wield what they found, so as an example at least one Legion individual was seen running across the field wielding two shields. While unorthodox, and frowned upon from some quarters, the results were allowed to stand. (Perhaps because of the joviality and amusement of the Legion savages.)

Medalists

Gold: Rasheab & Mowgli of Legion
Silver:
Bronze:
Kayla & Jake, and Plix & ... (fill in later)

Single Sword

Individuals took up their chosen sword or club (of the non-shield breaking variety) and engaged in a series of duels. Each match was a set of best two out of three, while the tourney overall was single elimination matches.

Medalists

Gold: Rasheab of Legion
Silver:
Bronze: Stefan of Legion

Grand Melee

Teams of five were assembled; equipment was left up to each individual, with any combination of legal weaponry, armor, and magic being allowed.

"Four teams enter, one team leaves." Because of the nature of the chaos, placement aside from "last standing" is mostly useless.

Four teams made their way down to the field that day: Legion+, Erzoth, Not-Legion, and (fill in later). Despite earlier shenanigans, it was agreed the two teams with Legionnaires would not team up against their opposition. At the start bell, Legion+ aggressively drove across the field into the ranks of Erzoth.

Teams

Gold: Legion+ - Plix, Mowgli, Rasheab, Kestrel, & Vodin
Not-Legion: Alicaryn, Dameaion,
